My name is Robbie Allen and I'm the sole founder and developer of StatSheet.com. I'm a long-time sports fanatic and web entrepreneur.
The major sports websites have yet to embrace the web as a platform for presenting and visualizing stats. It is time for a fresh perspective and my answer is StatSheet.com. In the short time since this site has been active I've created some interesting features, but I've only scratched the surface compared to what's coming.
My goal is simple
In a word: No! I've conceived and developed the site by myself, but I'm definitely standing on the shoulders of the crowd. I'm re-using a lot of open software to present data in interesting ways. Several volunteers have stepped forward to offer stats, ideas, and corrections, which have improved the site immensely. Over time as I make the website more social, I intend to offer even more ways for people to contribute. I'm open to any and all ideas. Email or IM me. How will StatSheet.com make money? Great question! Much like StatSheet itself, this continues to be a work in progress. I'm working on several options now and the path to profitability is clear. My ultimate goal is to make StatSheet.com a sustainable business that can support a small staff. I've already had 3 people ask to be employees #2-4. Are you interested in being employee #5?
