CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.(AP) Cade Thompson threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tennessee-Martin to a 31-17 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday night.

The Skyhawks first score came on a 36-yard Tom Hansen field goal in the first quarter. Thompson threw an 8-yard touchdown to Roren Thomas and connected with E.J. Daniels for an 18-yard score to give Tennessee Martin (3-1, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference) a 16-6 lead in the second.

T.C. Jennings threw a 7-yard touchdown to Scott Thomas along with a two-point conversion to cut the lead to 16-14 for the Governors (0-4, 0-1) in the third.

But Tennessee-Martin outscored Austin Peay 15-3, including Thompson's 28-yard touchdown throw to Mike Hicks and Brandyn Young's 3-yard touchdown run, for the win.

Hicks finished with nine catches for 155 yards, and Miguel Barnes ran for 62 yards on 12 carries for the Skyhawks.
