Nashville, Tenn.(AP) Antonio Heffner threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tennessee State in a 34-20 win against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday night.

Heffner, who completed 20 of 28 passes and two interceptions, ran for 48 yards on nine carries for the Tigers (4-0, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference). Brandon Belvin caught six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while Javarris Williams added 117 yards rushing and a touchdown on 17 carries for Tennessee State.

The Tigers outgained Eastern Kentucky (1-3, 0-1 OVC) 541-253.

Tennessee State took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Williams' 48-yard touchdown run. Heffner later threw a 62-yard touchdown to Brandon Belvin to put the Tigers ahead 20-13 in the second, despite a Colonels 6-yard touchdown pass from Allan Holland to Cody Watts.

Heffner hooked up again with Belvin on a 19-yard touchdown pass that gave the Tigers a 27-13 lead to begin the third quarter, which Holland matched with a 1-yard passing score to C.J. Walker with 2:05 to go in the frame.

But Heffner's final 3-yard touchdown pass to Ronald Evans at 12:19 in the fourth quarter would seal the victory for Tennessee State.
