E. Illinois bests Illinois St. 25-21

NORMAL, Ill.(AP) Bodie Reeder threw for two touchdowns, including one with seven minutes left to come from behind as Eastern Illinois defeated Illinois State 25-21 on Saturday.

Illinois State (1-2) led 21-10 going into the last period of the game before Eastern Illinois (2-2) mounted a comeback. Reeder started the quarter with a 44-yard pass to Alicus Nozinor for a touchdown to make the score 21-16.

Reeder came back with another 4-yard pass to Chip Keys to put Eastern Illinois ahead 22-21. Eastern Illinois sealed the win with a field goal from Tyler Wilke to put the final score at 25-21.

Illinois State's Kevin Brockway threw for two touchdowns in the first quarter. Illinois State had its third touchdown off a 3-yard run from Geno Blow in the third period.

Reeder led Eastern Illinois with 221 yards and no sacks. Brockway had 240 yards, but was sacked three times.

Eyad Salem received for 105 yards for Illinois State and had one touchdown. Travorus Bess led Eastern Illinois in rushing with 79 yards.

Even though the team lost the game, Illinois State had 360 offensive yards to Eastern Illinois' 313 yards. Illinois State also rushed for 120 yards while Eastern Illinois had 92 yards.
