CHARLESTON, S.C.(AP) Bart Blanchard accounted for three touchdowns and Andre Roberts had 135 yards receiving and a score to lead The Citadel to a 34-14 win over Western Carolina on Saturday.

Blanchard, who completed 19 of 28 passes, connected with Roberts for a 27-yard touchdown in the first quarter and the quarterback ran for a 15-yard score in the second to give the Bulldogs (3-1) a 21-0 lead.

The Citadel later went ahead 31-0 in the third when Blanchard had a 9-yard rushing score. He threw for 265 yards and two interceptions for the Bulldogs and ran for 85 yards on 11 carries.

Asheton Jordan led The Citadel with 110 yards rushing on 18 carries.

Andy Horn, who threw for 115 yards, threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Adams Hearns in the third for the Catamounts (2-3). Hearns had seven catches for 40 yards.
