CHARLESTON, S.C.(AP) Tribble Reese passed for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead Charleston Southern to a 27-0 win against North Greenville on Saturday.
Reese completed 17 of 27 passes with no interceptions for the Buccaneers (1-3), who outgained the Crusaders (1-4) 372-120.
John Paglia opened the scoring with a 44-yard field goal at the 12:43 mark in the second quarter, and Reese hit Clayton Coffman on a 3-yard touchdown pass three minutes later to extend the Charleston Southern lead to 10-0. Paglia's 26-yard field goal in the second quarter increased the Buccaneers lead to 13-0.
Charleston Southern scored again in the second half when Reese connected with Gerald Stevenson on a 43-yard touchdown pass to give the Buccaneers a 20-0 advantage with 13:30 remaining in the third.
Antwan Ivey, who finished with 70 yards rushing on 15 carries, capped the game's scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run for Charleston Southern in the third quarter.
