COOKEVILLE, Tenn.(AP) Quarterback Cade Thompson threw for two touchdowns and 175 yards on 10-of-21 passing to lead Tennessee-Martin to a 35-7 win over Tennessee Tech on Thursday.
Running back Brandyn Young also ran for two touchdowns and 107 yards on 20 carries for the Skyhawks (6-2, 4-1 Ohio Valley). Despite a rain-soaked field, they produced 342 yards of total offense, including 159 yards rushing.
Henry Sailes's 87-yard kickoff return produced the only score for Tennessee Tech (3-5, 1-3). Tech's Cedric Wilkerson ran for 75 yards on 15 carries.
Turnovers plagued Tech: Quarterback Lee Sweeney threw an interception, and the team lost three fumbles.
Tennessee Martin's Dontrell Miller returned one of the fumbles 60 yards for a score.
