CONWAY, S.C.(AP) Zach MacDowall threw three touchdown passes to help Coastal Carolina beat Nin a 35-10 win against North Carolina Central on Saturday night.

MacDowall completed 13 of 22 passes for 158 yards with three touchdowns, and Arthur Sitton added 100 yards rushing and a touchdown on six carries for the Chanticleers (4-4).

Michael Johnson completed 14 of 26 passes for 176 yards with one touchdown and one interception for the Eagles (1-6).

MacDowall connected with Jamar Anderson on a 61-yard pass and Kenny Jones on an 8-yard touchdown, giving Coastal Carolina a 14-0 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

After Jamie Fordham's 28-yard touchdown run opened the second, MacDowall hit Brandon Whitley for a 12-yard touchdown that gave the Chanticleers a 28-3 halftime lead.

After a scoreless third, Johnson connected with Wayne Blackwell on a 63-yard score that pulled the Eagles within 18 points with 13:18 to go. But Sitton's 42-yard touchdown run three minutes later sealed the victory for Coastal Carolina.
