GREENVILLE, S.C.(AP) Jordan Sorrells threw three touchdown passes to help lead Furman to a 34-20 victory against The Citadel on Saturday.
Sorrells completed 21 of 29 passes for 253 yards for the Paladins (6-2, 3-1 Southern Conference).
Bart Blanchard completed 20 of 37 passes for 196 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Bulldogs (3-4, 1-3). Adam Mims added 89 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions.
Sam Keeler hit on field goals of 23 and 33 yards to give the Bulldogs a 6-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Sorrells hit David Hendrix on a 9-yard score before Brantley Kendall's 1-yard touchdown run gave the Paladins a 20-6 halftime lead.
Furman kept rolling in the third quarter, as Sorrells hit Adam Mims on touchdown passes of 24 and 7 yards to give Furman a 34-6 lead.
Blanchard threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Andre Roberts and an 11-yard score to Alex Sellars in the fourth quarter.
