Jones' two TDs spark Delaware St. to 42-7 win

DOVER, Del.(AP) Kareem Jones rushed for two touchdowns to lead Delaware State to a 42-7 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
Delaware State (3-3, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) forced three first-half turnovers to help send North Carolina A&T (2-6, 0-4) to its sixth consecutive loss.
Jones scored the first of his two touchdowns after Josh Pope recovered a fumble, taking it in from 4 yards out with 13:15 remaining in the second quarter for a 21-0 lead.
Jones also scored on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Chris Strother led the Hornets with 79 yards rushing on 13 carries. His 19-yard run with 1:11 left in the first quarter gave Delaware State a 14-0 lead.
Vashon Winton completed 10 of 17 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. He also scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter for a 28-0 lead.
Nigel Tomlin scored on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter for North Carolina A&T's lone touchdown.
