RICHMOND, Ky.(AP) Allan Holland threw for 193 yards and a touchdown run and Eastern Kentucky used three turnovers to beat Eastern Illinois 20-7 on Saturday.
The Colonels (5-3, 4-1 Ohio Valley Conference) outgained the Panthers (3-5, 1-3) 314-237, and capitalized on three Eastern Illinois fumbles in the win.
Holland's 7-yard touchdown run was the only score in the opening quarter and, after Aaron Bradley's 2-yard touchdown run, Taylor Long hit a 42-yard field goal that put the Colonels ahead 17-0 at halftime.
Bodie Reeder hit Alicus Nozinor on a 5-yard touchdown pass that cut the eastern Illinois deficit to 10 points midway through the third quarter, but Long's 50-yard field goal to start the fourth would give the Eastern Kentucky its final margin.
