RICHMOND, Va.(AP) Josh Vaughan ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns to help Richmond rout Georgetown 48-0 on Saturday.
Garrett Wilkins, who rushed for 86 yards on 17 carries, scored on a 12-yard run to give the Spiders (6-3) a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. A 25-yard field goal by Brian Radford and Vaughan's 15-yard rushing score put Richmond ahead by 24 points at halftime.
Richmond outgained the Hoyas 427-88 in total yards.
The Spiders held Georgetown (1-6) without a first down until 4:43 left in the third quarter. Vaughan, who finished with 24 carries, scored on a 15-yard run and Wilkins added a 6-yard touchdown run in the third.
Eric Ward, who completed 7 of 12 passes, threw 112 yards and one interception for Richmond. He also had 37 yards rushing and a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Three Georgetown quarterbacks combined for only had 8 yards passing. Their leading rusher was Phillip Olageji with 35 yards.
