McNeese St. defeats SE Louisiana 24-14

HAMMOND, La.(AP) Derrick Fourroux threw a touchdown pass and ran for another to help McNeese State to a 24-14 victory against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday night.

Fourroux completed 10 of 21 passes for 112 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and Todd Pendland rushed for 173 yards and a score on 24 carries for the Cowboys (5-3, 2-2 Southland Conference).

Brian Babin completed 17 of 31 passes for 168 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Lions (4-5, 1-3).

The Cowboys outgained the Lions 355-198 en route to victory.

Southeastern Louisiana took the lead first on Babin's 14-yard connection with Andre Cryer, but Fourroux hit Wes Mangan from 4 yards out and ran it in himself from 2 yards out to give McNeese State a 14-7 lead after one quarter.

The Cowboys extended their lead to 21-7 before halftime with Pendland's 11-yard touchdown run.

Babin hit Cryer again on a 22-yard score to pull the Lions within one touchdown at the end of the third, but Blake Berceqeay's 31-yard field goal in the fourth sealed the win for McNeese State.
