Wofford runs past The Citadel 33-28

SPARTANBURG, S.C.(AP) Dane Romero rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns to lead Wofford to a 33-28 victory over The Citadel on Saturday.
Romero scored all three touchdowns in the first half as the Terriers (7-2, 5-1 Southern Conference) took a 20-14 halftime lead and never trailed.
Wofford's Ben Widmyer was 6 of 7 for 130 yards and a 57-yard touchdown pass to Andy Strickland, and rushed for 79 yards and a 20-yard touchdown run.
The Citadel (3-7, 1-6) cut Wofford's lead to 26-21 on Terrell Dallas' 1-yard run with 6:34 left in the third quarter, but Widmyer scored to increase the lead to 33-21 with 10:56 left in the game.
Andre Roberts caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Bart Blanchard with 3:48 remaining in the game.
Blanchard was 23 of 30 for 259 yards and three touchdowns, all of which were caught by Roberts, who had 14 receptions for 190 yards.
