COOKEVILLE, Tenn.(AP) Desmin Ward scored three rushing touchdowns and Eastern Illinois beat Tennessee Tech 38-20 in its season finale on Saturday.

Ward rushed for just 19 yards but had scoring on runs of 4, 3, and 1.

The Panthers (5-7, 3-5 Ohio Valley Conference) rushed for a combined 296 yards, led by Travorus Bess with 163 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries.

Bodie Reeder threw for one touchdown and 196 yards on 15-of-19 passing.

Lee Sweeney threw for 219 yards and a score on 19-of-27 passing for the Golden Eagles (3-9, 1-7). Dontey Gay rushed for 66 yards on 10 carries, including a 42-yard touchdown.

Justin Kraemer made field goals from 42 and 22 yards away.
