GREENSBORO, N.C.(AP) Will Ford rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown to lead South Carolina State to a 55-0 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
Ford captured the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rushing title with 1,482 yards this season, and the Bulldogs (10-2, 8-0) finished the regular season with three consecutive shutouts. They have clinched an automatic bid to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
Travil Jamison rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who held North Carolina A&T (3-9, 1-7) to 41 yards of offense, including minus-5 yards passing.
Malcolm Long was 12 of 19 for 191 yards and two touchdowns and Phillip Adams returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who had 511 yards of offense.
Phillip Morris, who had four receptions for 84 yards, and Matt Washington caught touchdown passes from Long.
