VMI rolls past Presbyterian 49-27

LEXINGTON, Va.(AP) Tim Maypray rushed for 235 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Virginia Military Institute to a 49-27 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday.
Maypray scored on runs of 4, 60 and 34 yards and caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Hughes as the Keydets (4-7) had 648 yards of total offense. Maypray also caught three passes for 97 yards.
Brandon Miley was 32 of 56 for 318 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for two scores to lead Presbyterian (4-8).
Maypray's first touchdown gave VMI a 14-7 with 3:18 left in the first quarter.
His 60-yard run and 75-yard reception ended consecutive possessions and gave the Keydets a 35-14 lead with 1:47 remaining in the first half.
Maypray added a 34-yard scoring run to increase the lead to 42-21 with 11:27 left in the third quarter.
Howard Abegesah added 151 yards rushing for VMI. Mario Carter led Presbyterian with 94 yards on 15 carries.
