DALLAS (AP) Tulsa offensive lineman Wilson Holloway, who missed the second half of this season after cancer was rediscovered in his chest, won the annual FedEx Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award on Wednesday.
Holloway was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma last spring and underwent chemotherapy before returning to play six games this season on special teams and as a reserve.
Tests in October showed that the cancer had returned, cutting his season short.
Holloway, a redshirt freshman from Oklahoma City, will be presented the award during the Football Writers Association of America's annual awards banquet on Jan. 8 in Miami, prior to the BCS championship game.
