Troy, AL (Sports Network) - Dantavious Parker gained 83 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns on just six carries, as the Troy Trojans routed the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, 31-7, in a Sun Belt Conference battle at Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium.
Levi Brown tallied 191 yards and a TD on 18-of-30 efficiency for the Trojans (3-2, 2-0 Sun Belt), who have won four straight in this series and also got a 52-yard touchdown catch from Chip Reeves. Shawn Southward added a TD run in the win.
Dwight Dasher went 24-of-44 for 245 yards and a score and also rushed for another 53 yards for the Blue Raiders (3-2, 1-1), who still lead the all-time series 11-6. Tavarres Jefferson had a TD grab in the setback.
Southward's seven-yard touchdown run with about six minutes left in the first frame gave the Trojans a 7-0 lead.
Brown hit Reeves for a 52-yard TD strike late in the second stanza, and the Trojans assumed a 14-0 lead at the break.
Parker had a 46-yard rush down to the Blue Raiders two-yard line, and punched it in from a yard out three plays later to make it 21-0 early in the third.
Michael Taylor hit a 26-yard field goal, but Jefferson hauled in a 35-yard TD pass late in the third to close it to 24-7 after three quarters.
Parker trotted into the end zone from 28 yards out early in the fourth to cap the scoring.
