STONY BROOK, N.Y.(AP) Devin Campbell passed for 392 yards and three touchdowns to lead Gardner-Webb to a 34-33 comeback win against Stony Brook on Saturday.

Gardner-Webb (5-4, 2-1 Big South) moved into second place in the league standings with two games remaining.

Stony Brook (3-6, 2-2) rushed for 316 yards, led by Edwin Gowins's 185 on 15 carries. Conte Cuttino had 145 yards on 26 carries.

Cuttino's 7-yard touchdown run with 13"56 left in the fourth gave Stony Brook a 33-20 lead.

But Campbell hit Philip Peoples for a 3-yard touchdown pass about 2 1/2 minutes later and connected with Dobson Collins for a 13-yard score with 8:35 left to take the lead.

The Bulldogs' defense made it stand up, shutting down Stony Brook the rest of the way while Gardner-Webb's offense took time off the clock.
