| 2 questions…
1: Is there a way to view player stats beyond the top 100 overall leaders? Can I view, say, the top 300? Or the top 100 senior guards?
2: What goes into you “Offensive Rating?” Your glossary lists PP/Possesions as the formula, but I don’t know what goes into points produced. I assume it is some combination of points scored and assists, but if that is true how can the Offensive Rating values come out to such high numbers (I think your leaders are in the 120s)?
Pls email me at passrush@comcast.net.

| Hi Kenny,
1) You can’t currently, but I’m going to revamp the Players section in the next couple of months and it will offer a lot more flexibility in how you view the stat leaders. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind.
2) Points produced is a rather complicated formula developed by Dean Oliver. Check out his excellent book Basketball on Paper for more details. And yes, Offensive Ratings above 100 are common. Think of it as points generated per 100 possessions. |
