| Michael Stephens → YOU ARE AWFUL [reply] 46 free throws to 5?!
That inadvertent whistle fiasco was a joke. |
| |
| Tim Higgins → Your pathetic [reply] Higgins’ job in the Purdue – Oklahoma game was simply par for the course. I’ve watched him referee many times over the years at ND and have never seen him call a game well. Mr. Higgins, the game has passed you by. Do everyone a favor and put your whistle away forever. |

| Ed Corbett → you suck [reply] How much did you pocket from OU to throw the game for them? Purdue’s style play will put them at a disadvantage at the free throw line, but come on…46 -5!!!! Very obvious what was happening |

| Tim Higgins → 2008 NIT Pre-Season [reply] How much did you pocket from OU to throw the game for them? Purdue’s style play will put them at a disadvantage at the free throw line, but come on…46 -5!!!! Very obvious what was going on. showboat is right…you suck, you suck, you suck. |

| Tim Higgins → Your pathetic [reply] i totally agree, the boilermakers definitely played very physical and aggressive but welcome to the BIG10. A free throw margin of 46-5 is unheard of. Worse called game I have seen yet, the boilers dominated this game and the refs threw it away for them. |

| Michael Stephens → Coach Capel Thanking him [reply] Coach Capel repeatively Thanked him after he made bad calls at the end of the game. Can you say “On the Take”? |
| |
| Ed Corbett → Bad [reply] Poorly officaited NIT championship game. The crew decided this one, noit the players. |
| |
| Michael Stephens → really bad NIT [reply] Bad, bad, bad. He’s 40 ft. away and he blows an “inadvertant whistle” with 30 seconds and the game on the line in the championship of the preseason NIT. It appeared to me that he was granting Oklahoma when they did not have the ball so the “inadvertant” was the only thing left to do. Free throw differential in the game was a whopping 41. The whole crew was terrible and Stephans led the way. |
| |
| Michael Stephens → Whistle [reply] Maybe next time you should take your whistle out of your mouth when your fixing a game. |
| |
| Tim Higgins → Your pathetic [reply] You did a horrible job in the finals of the NIT preseason tournament. 46-5 free throw margin is absurb in a close game. You suck, you suck, you suck. |
| |
| Ed Corbett → Seriously... [reply] You really did a horrible job in the NIT championship game! Are you serious 46 to 5 free throws. I seriously would love to see your bets in vegas. |
| |
| Michael Stephens → Terrible Official [reply] Agree.
The officiating crew was totally clueless, and Stephens doesn’t deserve to do a grammar school game. I could not understand how one team can shoot 46 free throws and the other only 5. Purdue never got a call when it drove the lane, but this officiating crew treated Blake Griffin like he was Michael Jordan.
Michael Stephens, inadvertent whistle with 30 seconds left. The guy can’t even admit he made a mistake. |

| Michael Stephens → Terrible Official [reply] Totally blew it at the NIT preseason tip off! |

| StatSheet Blog → College Basketball Team pages updated [reply] Another small tweak that would be absolutely great:
Making the player stats ‘switchable’ between standard and advanced on the “Pre-Game” page. |

| StatSheet Blog → College Basketball Team pages updated [reply] Looks great. Very helpful. |

| StatSheet Feature Requests → Custom Teams [reply] Hello - so I just realized you live in the Triangle! Go Heels! (I live in Raleigh but work at UNC)
Anyway - I’ve put together a little sample of a custom team play-by-play—I had to grab some stats from CSTV since there isn’t a play-by-play for every game on this site (I’ve noticed UVA is horrendously bad at posting play-by-plays, even on their CSTV website, while most other schools do have a fairly inclusive play-by-play including TOs, etc)
Anyway, just wanted to post a link so you could check it out:
This is the data:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pj_dmKHe…
I paste the play-by-play for each team into an excel sheet and then filter the data by just the players I am looking for. I can then copy and past the 5 players from each team into another excel sheet and resort by the timestamps of each play, From there, I have a rididulous long nested IF formula that looks for keywords (rebounds, dunk, layup, 3, turnover, etc) that will then add up the score for each time.
The finished result is a linegraph that displays the flow of 5 “random” acc players playing against each other and their combined team score.
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pj_dmKHe…
Kind of cumbersome (and currently a little time consuming. But I’m pleased with the results!

| StatSheet Blog → College Basketball Team pages updated [reply] Thanks for the feedback.
Good catch on the schedule! The fix should go out today. I’ve also added Offensive Rebounding Pct and Defensive Rebounding Pct to the player stats. |

| StatSheet Blog → College Basketball Team pages updated [reply] Site is amazing. Something I noticed on the schedule: Once a game has been played it goes to the top of the schedule So the schedule goes in reverse chronological order until you get to the next upcoming game, then it goes back to chronological order. For example for Wisconsin the schedule goes like this: 11/24, 11/23, 11/21, 11/18, 11/16, 11/29, 12/01, etc.. |

| StatSheet Blog → College Basketball Team pages updated [reply] Awesome! All these improvements to an already-stellar Web site are turning StatSheet into the go-to source for information. I love it…pretty much one-stop shopping as far as stats go.
And I really really don’t feel like I should be asking for any more because you’ve been so responsive to suggestions, but it’d be excellent to have reb% as one of the Advanced Stats on the team pages.
Anyway, Reb% or not, I’m grateful you are making so many improvements to a truly helpful site. |
