Wilson's career-high 25 points leads NAU over Wichita State
Posted February 23, 2008

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.(AP) Josh Wilson scored a career-high 25 points as Northern Arizona won its third consecutive game with an 85-75 victory over Wichita State on Saturday.

Kyle Landry finished with 20 points and freshman Zach Filzen added 10 for the Lumberjacks (18-10) in a non-conference game that saw 20 lead changes and seven ties.

Wichita State (10-18) was led by P.J. Couisnard's 19 points.

Ramon Clemente had 17 points and Matt Braeuer 12 for the Shockers, who led by seven in the first half until Northern Arizona took a 37-36 halftime lead.

With the score tied at 56 and 10:44 remaining, the Lumberjacks went on a 12-2 run to take control.

Wichita State cut its deficit to four with 3:14 left, but Wilson hit a jumper on the next possession and was fouled before converting the three-point play with 2:41 left.

Wilson, a junior, topped his previous career best of 20 points - reached earlier this season against Adams State and Northern Colorado.

He was 9-for-11 from the field, 4-for-5 from 3-point range and made all three of his free throws.
