ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.(AP) Tony Danridge hardly looked like a man who missed all of last season as he scored 16 points Friday night to lead New Mexico to a 102-59 rout over Southeast Missouri State.

Danridge was forced to sit out last season after breaking his left leg, but the time off didn't show. He had several highlight reel dunks against the overmatched Redbirds and his reverse lay-in off a half-court pass from Dairese Gary punctuated a 16-3 New Mexico run that put the Lobos in the lead, 42-25, with 2:45 left in the first half.

Six Lobos reached double-digits in what marked New Mexico's highest scoring game since they scored 106 against Colorado in 2006.

Jaycen Herring led the Redbirds (0-1) with 21 points, including three 3-pointers.

The Redbirds had an early lead, going up 16-11 seven minutes into the game. But the lead quickly evaporated and the Lobos built a 26-20 advantage within a few minutes.

The Lobos (1-0) opened the second half with a 22-3 run, quickly extending their 46-31 half-time lead to 68-34. Phillip McDonald scored eight of the points and Danridge had six.

Roman Martinez had a double-double for the Lobos and his game-high 10 rebounds was a career best. Nate Garth came off the bench for New Mexico and finished with a game-high seven assists and just one turnover.
