Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - D.J. Augustin scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half, as the Bobcats rallied from a horrendous opening 24 minutes for a 79-68 win over the New Jersey Nets. Gerald Wallace posted 24 points, a career-best 20 rebounds and four steals for the Bobcats, who shot just 19 percent (8-of-42) in the first half, but then outscored the Nets, 46-27, in the last two quarters. New Jersey was held without a point for a 10- minute stretch in the second half, a span when the Bobcats went on a 24-0 run. Boris Diaw added 14 points for Charlotte, which was coming off a 90-79 loss at Cleveland Saturday night. Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 20 for the Nets, who are winless after four games this season. It was a horrific second half for New Jersey, which went 11-of-35 from the field over the last two periods. That included just seven points in the third quarter.

New York, NY (Sports Network) - David Lee made 13-of-17 shots, on his way to 28 points, as the New York Knicks won their first game of the season with a 117-111 victory over the New Orleans Hornets at Madison Square Garden. Lee also had eight rebounds for the Knicks, who had lost the first three games of the season. Al Harrington added 24 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Larry Hughes ended with 20 points and six boards. Chris Duhon finished with 18 points and nine assists for the victors. Chris Paul had 32 points and 13 assists for the Hornets, who were coming off a loss to the Celtics on Sunday. Emeka Okafor tallied 24 points and 10 rebounds, while David West chipped in with 21 points in defeat.

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Aaron Brooks poured in 19 points and dished out nine assists, as the Houston Rockets used a strong second half to take down the Utah Jazz, 113-96, at EnergySolutions Arena. Luis Scola added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Rockets, who have won three straight games after a season-opening loss at Portland. Rookie Chase Budinger added 17 points off the bench. Trevor Ariza chipped in with 15 points, while Shane Battier ended with 13 points. Chuck Hayes finished with 12 points and nine boards for the victors. Mehmet Okur paced the Jazz with 21 points. Ronnie Brewer tallied 19 points for Utah, which was coming off a win over the Clippers on Friday. Deron Williams and Andrei Kirilenko each had 18 points in defeat.

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Kevin Martin set a record for scoring in a Kings home opener, pouring in 48 points as Sacramento beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 127-116, to capture its first win of the season. Martin, who went 14-of-27 from the field, including 7-of-10 from three-point range, had seven of his points in the extra session. Martin also had four steals for the Kings, who capitalized with 67 points from their bench. After three straight losses to begin the season, Sacramento was able to hit effectively from long range, going 14-of-25 from beyond the arc. Spencer Hawes added 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for Sacramento, which also received 16 points from Beno Udrih, 15 from Omri Casspi and 13 from Andres Nocioni. Zach Randolph tallied 30 points and 16 rebounds before fouling out in overtime for the Grizzlies, who fell to 1-3 on the season. The result also spoiled the debut for new Memphis guard Allen Iverson, who had 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting in a reserve role. Iverson sat out the opening three games with a slightly torn left hamstring.

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Kaman scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as the Los Angeles Clippers picked up their first win of the season with a 93-90 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center. Eric Gordon added 17 points for the Clippers, who had lost their first four games to begin the year. Baron Davis chipped in with 13 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. Rasual Butler made just 3-of-15 shots on his way to 12 points for the victors. Al Jefferson had 24 points for the Timberwolves, who have lost three in a row since a season-opening win over the Nets. Corey Brewer tallied 14 points, six assists, and four boards. Jonny Flynn and Oleksiy Pecherov each had 13 points in defeat.
